Located in the Red Hills of Dundee, Oregon is our child centered Preschool focused on Local-Organic-Learning. We offer Preschool and PreK classes from Licensed teachers using research based curriculum balanced with Montessori style learning time. Each week we focus on Life Skills utilizing Growing Early Mindsets (GEM) which is based on Growth Mindset research, and Second Steps- Early Childhood which helps with all the social, emotional and problem solving skills to prepare for Kindergarten.
Our program is bilingual Spanish for the lessons, music and literature. We have Silly Grandma's Library, which is a lending library of over 3,500 children's books for families to borrow that following along with each week's focus. The meals and snacks provided are utilizing as many organic, local and seasonal fresh foods we have in the beautiful Northwest. As part of our program we provide complimentary Specialty Classes for the children including Yoga, African Drumming, Cooking, Dance, Art and Gardening.

We are a 5 Star Rated Program through the QRIS here in Oregon. Oregon's Quality Rating and Improvement System (QRIS) is a program that raises the quality and consistency of child care and early learning programs across the state. The Quality Rating System recognizes, rewards and builds on what early learning and development programs are already doing well. It helps ensure children in QRIS programs are ready for kindergarten by connecting programs and providers with free tools, financial incentives and professional advice that they can put into practice with confidence.

We provide healthy breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks to all the children in our program at no extra charge. Our menu is seasonal with local and organic food whenever possible.

Throughout the year we offer a variety of specialty classes that are free to all the children enrolled in the program. They have included kids cooking, drumming, theater, yoga, dance and more.

We use Spanish and English songs for circle time, transitions and included in all our lesson plans. The DLM Early Childhood Express provides literature, technology, and teacher resources in English and Spanish to help every teacher set up and deliver a dynamic learning environment for all children.

Reading/ language arts lessons are focused on language acquisition which include oral language development and vocabulary activities.
Mathematics is based on Building Blocks, the result of NSF-funded research, and designed to develop children's early mathematical knowledge through various individual and group activities.
Science instruction provides students with skills in investigating and observing scientific concepts and methods during weekly science-focused, large-group activities, and Center Time activities.
Fine arts provides student opportunities for expressing art, dance, and music.
Social studies is addressed weekly and allows children to learn about community, history, geography, and citizenship.
Physical movement is integrated into each lesson to help each child develop appropriate gross and fine motor skills.
Technology skills for the 21st century are incorporated each week with the use of online math activities, computer time, and eBooks.
Health and safety lessons help children begin to make good decisions about healthy living and safety.
We use SECOND STEP as one of our life skill tools to help your littlest learners harness their energy and potential by teaching them to listen, pay attention, control their behavior, and get along with others. When students enter kindergarten with the self-regulation and social-emotional skills taught in the research-based Second Step program, they’re set up for success.
